When the birds were silent
and the leaves
were still
and the men
were dreamy,
the dew touched her.
He touched her
and tickled her
and caressed her
reciting vows
all night long.
And her pink skin
glowed
as he slipped
from one petal
to another.
The first ray of light
reached her
through him
and that was
the ecstasy.
She unfurled herself
to disclose
the affection:
the most pious of all
in her eyes.
The dew was hesitant
and ashamed
and repentant
that he escaped
as the sun
came closer.
And then
the one
without secrets,
The unfurled flower
was plucked
and smelled
and posed
then thrashed.
